Howdy Dave,
Glad to have you here. You live in one of my two favorite big cities in the world. Even though my first stop in London was during a cold gray winter on a return trip from sweltering Africa I really enjoyed it. I also got to see a great Stubb (the horse painter) exhibition at the Tate Gallery. Can't wait to hear what your favorite Frazetta pieces are, and also any other fantasy artists who are in your top ten.
Best wishes,
Aaron

Whoops! I see you answered that one.
For Tolkein artists I'll take John Howe over Allen Lee. Howe's work just has more of that menacing feel which suits my taste.
Best,
Aaron

Hi Aaron,
Funny about Alan Lee, his being on my list isn't really down to his work on LOTR, I really loved his covers to the T.H White books 'The Sword in the Stone' & I think 'The Book of Merlin .Some of the Pencil drawings I've seen in his portfolio's done in the eighties are fantastic plus his illustrations to 'The Mabinogian'
My favourite image of all time from LOTR is the second cover John Howe did for 'The Two Towers' (Harper Collins PB).. magnificent art.

Almost impossible to pick a Frazetta cover, used to be any of the Conan Covers, but I really like Warrior with Ball and chain from the Flashing Swords PB, the colours are astounding, the Polar bears pulling the Snow Chariot also ranks highly.
