Forum Posting Guidelines

This forum is provided for members to discuss Frank Frazetta and Fantasy
Art. I don’t have a lot of rules but I do ask that everyone who posts
behave with respect towards each other. While disagreements are fine
(and inevitable), please refrain from personal attacks, accusations, or
inappropriate comments. A good rule to follow is: Don’t Post When You’re
Angry. If something has really upset you, wait until you’ve had a chance
to cool down before posting about it. The more reserved you phrase a
suggestion or complaint, the less likely other people will take offense to it.
The goal here is to run a friendly forum with civility where fans of Frazetta
and Fantasy Art can come and hang out comfortably.

The above takes care of most of the categories. For the Artists Corner,
here’s a few more guidelines concerning the Gallery and Works In
Progress:

1) Creating art is not easy and artists tend to be a bit sensitive so
have some respect for the creative process and don’t put down other
artists. Always try to see the good points of the work and offer helpful
criticism.

2) By posting your art for critiques, you are agreeing to accept
criticism including paintovers from our members unless you state
otherwise when you post your work. If you do not want to receive certain
types of critiques such as paintovers, please state your preferences when
you make your post.

3) Please post updated work in the same thread as the original
work rather than starting a whole new thread.

4) Your evaluation is helpful when people can learn or see
something differently. Try to provide insight to the work. Just saying, “I
like it” or “good job” are appreciated, but don’t provide very much
constructive feedback for the artist. Constructive criticism should make
specific statements about specific aspects of the art (good or not-so-good)
in order to help everyone become better at creating Art.

That’s about it. Thanks for visiting and I hope your stay is a pleasurable one!

Acknowledgements:

A huge THANK YOU to Jordan Schiffer for his help with the nuts and bolts
mechanics of getting this forum up and running. I couldn’t have done it
without him. Also, a big Thank You to Tony Avacado, Tracy Flynn, and
Arnie Fenner for their suggestions for this forum.
